Parent Resources
Highland Park Preschool is part of the Highland Park Community Association. The Preschool has developed a Parent Handbook which includes guidelines for operation of the Preschool within the Community Association. These guidelines are reviewed and if necessary updated on a regular basis.
Below is a link to our current Parent Handbook. See the Illness policy on page 9.
Health Screening
If you or your child have symptoms, please use the latest Alberta Health Respiratory Illness Assessment tool for guidance about when to isolate. The tool includes guidance on when students should stay home, and when students can return to class if they have been sick.
Children should not return to school until symptoms have resolved and they have been free of fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. If symptoms include vomiting or diarrhea, students should not return until 48 hours after symptoms resolve.
